DreamEx will be re-filing its Form 1 application with the Commission, seeking registration as a national securities exchange, focused on providing an “on-ramp” for small to mid-sized companies (which are typically owned by minorities) to access the public markets once legislation approving a venture exchange model is enacted into law. While it awaits the enactment of the venture exchange model, DreamEx will build its registered stock exchange, trading in national market system securities, to develop the necessary infrastructure for the new venture exchange when such legislation is enacted into law.
For generations, the path to building lasting wealth passed through ownership of small businesses and shares in growing companies. In earlier eras, small companies could go public with modest offerings, create jobs, and invite regular investors into that growth. Data indicates that this ladder has mostly disappeared. The number of public companies has fallen, small IPOs have faded, and the public markets have become a place where a few very large institutions thrive while most people are left with index funds.
To create a trustworthy, well-regulated place where smaller companies can raise capital, and where regular people can participate in that growth instead of being locked out of it.
